TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENCODE

Welcome to the Environment and Community Development Embed (ENCODE). Established in 2020, ENCODE is a research-driven organization dedicated to “community development through a healthy natural environment.” By engaging with our services, products, or programs, you agree to the following terms.

  1. Core Philosophy & Compliance

ENCODE operates at the intersection of scientific integrity and social welfare. All engagements are governed by:

‣ Scientific Integrity: Methods are research-driven and evidence-based.

‣ Regulatory Alignment: Activities align with the Bangladesh Government’s National Priority Targets (NPTs) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 ‣ Ethical Standards: We prioritize the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle) and the protection of biodiversity.

  1. Scope of Services

ENCODE provides specialized services in Bio-Economy Innovations, Ethical Farming, and Biodiversity Management.

‣ Service Delivery: While we utilize industry-leading Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and taxonomy practices, results in biological systems may vary due to environmental factors.

‣ Consultancy: Advice provided through “Plant Clinics” and “Knowledge Hubs” is based on current research. Implementation remains the client’s responsibility.

  1. Product Usage & Safety

We offer research tools, crop solutions, and certified edibles.

‣ Bio-Inputs: Microbial biopesticides and bio-fertilizers must be used strictly according to instructions to ensure environmental safety.

‣ Research Tools: Tools (e.g., Malaise Traps) are for scientific use. ENCODE is not liable for unauthorized field applications.

‣ Certified Edibles: Jhum Rice, Mushrooms, and spices are processed under strict hygiene standards. Post-purchase quality depends on proper storage by the user.

  1. Intellectual Property & Research

‣ Proprietary Knowledge: All research data, indigenous technology designs, and digital content remain the intellectual property of ENCODE.

‣ Collaborative Excellence: In joint ventures, ENCODE retains the right to use non-sensitive data to advance environmental science and community welfare.

‣ Restrictions: Unauthorized reproduction or misrepresentation of ENCODE’s materials is strictly prohibited.

  1. Community & Social Responsibility

‣ Empowerment: Participation in livelihood programs (e.g., beekeeping) is voluntary. ENCODE facilitates market linkages and skill-building.

‣ Local Ethics: We protect ethnobotanical and indigenous knowledge. Commercialization follows fair-trade principles to support local economies and social harmony.

  1. Environmental Stewardship

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate partnerships with entities that knowingly engage in practices detrimental to biodiversity or violate international environmental agreements.

  1. Partnerships & Collaborations

ENCODE welcomes collaborations with government bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions. All partners must align with our mission of sustainability, inclusivity, and transparency.

  1. Limitation of Liability

ENCODE strives for excellence; however, we shall not be held liable for:

‣ Indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of innovations or biological products handled outside recommended parameters.

‣ Outcomes beyond reasonable control, including environmental shifts or market fluctuations.

  1. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and international environmental frameworks.

  1. Amendments

ENCODE reserves the right to update these terms at any time to reflect organizational growth or regulatory changes. Updated terms take effect immediately upon publication.
